The process for a commission piece is a long and intricate process. There are several stages in creating a commission piece, hence many hours are put into not only the design of the commission piece but also the overall creation.

The Process

1. Get in contact 

First things first, you will need to get in contact with me either by the websites commission enquiry otherwise via my email tarnijanedesigns@gmail.com 

Once you’ve made contact there will either be instant opening or a waiting list. If you are placed on the waiting list you will be contacted as soon as a spot is available for me to work with you on your artwork. 

2. Get inspired 

Check out the paintings on Tarni Jane Designs website or @tarniijanedesigns instagram. We can begin to discuss what draws you to the artwork alternatively we can begin a conversation on what story you wish you to portray (show) on the canvas. 

3. Choose a size

Pick from landscape or portrait in a variety of sizes to suit your space. If you require a custom canvas size there may be additional costs/delays as the canvas will be made to order. A 50% deposit is required for me to start your custom painting this is non refundable.

4. Choose your colour scheme

Share photos, fabric swatches and inspiration ideas with me and I’ll create a digital sketch so you can envision your final painting, including colours and composition.

5. Photo review

During the creation process I will send through multiple photos of the progress to make sure the colour balance, composition and direction feels right to you. I will make any necessary adjustments as I add layers to your art work.

6. Approval

Once everything I’d finalised I will send you a final photo and/or video for you to approve. Once approved you’ll make your final payment and I’ll arrange shipment or delivery. No piece will be sent until full payment has been received. 

7. Delivery

Once delivered, I hope for you to share photos of the artwork in its new home!

How long will it take to have my artwork made?

Please allow up to 1-2 months for a piece to be completed. Then 2 weeks dispatch of your canvas. Canvases have to be ordered and some delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances. However rest assured you will be updated if any time frame is changed.

How much will my commission be?

General price guide *rough guideline - prices subject depending to change 

Small - Medium 30cm to 50cm from $400

Large 70cm to 90cm from $900

Extra Larger Greater than 100cm x 100cm start from $1600
